Making hits in the music busines are a regular occurence, but making hits for murder is not that common. Well known New York drug dealer, Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff, 46, was finally charged for the 2001 murder of rising star Eric "E- Money Bags" Smith. The singer was shot 10 times.
McGriff was also charged for the murder of Smith's associate, Colbert "Black Just" Johnson. The police had been watching McGriff for a while. McGriff is known as one of the coldest and ruthless drug dealers in Queens, New York. McGriff has been linked to other assassinations and hit attempts in New York.
McGriff was also connected with a prior legal situation including Murder Inc. mogul , Irv "Gotti" Larenzo and his brother Chris Larenzo. Allegedly McGriff helped fund the music label with drug money; which Irv Larenzo and Chris Larenzo were later charged with money-laundering for.
